Day 232: On Dec 16th of the home improvement project I finally installed
a mirror in the new bathroom. I bought one Saturday at Home Depot. Nothing
rattled when I shook the packaging, but when I opened it up today I discover
it had a broken corner. So, back to Home Depot to get an unbroken replacement.
I opened the packaging in the store this time to verify it wasn't broken. Today our mechanic informed us that the engine in our 2014 Odyssey is toast. It only has 67k miles on it. That was not welcome news. Cylinder 4 is sucking oil and the spark plug doesn't fire. It's all related to the CVM system Honda designed into their line. A low mileage replacement engine is going to run us about $7k. Merry Christmas! |
